Whats New

New York, NY – June 7, 2007 -- Come June 10, the final saga for the Sopranos family will be seen as the series finale airs on HBO at 9pm E.S.T. Having worked with legendary directors like Martin Scorcese and Abel Ferrara, Peter Mele is now stepping into the fray in The Sopranos' epic series finale. This role is carrying Mele on his tradition and love of playing character roles in film, television and theater.

Mele states, "After many auditions for The Sopranos it took Executive Producer/Director David Chase to give me the opportunity which I am grateful for. It was an honor to finally be able to serve and provide something for the 'family.'"

A SAG, AFTRA and AEA member, Mele studied at The Grace Players Theater Co in Los Angeles where he still is an active member, and The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Mele’s most known theatre role was in the "Pulitzer Prize Winning" play Anna and the Tropics which followed his TV work which includes supporting roles in prime time shows like X Files and Sisters and a co-star role in the daytime drama, Port Charles. Independent film lead roles in 50/50 and Spring Cleaning led to supporting roles in Fear City and Raging Bull. His film work ramped up thereafter to co-starring roles in The Return of the Champ, Back To Back and Shadow Of A Doubt alongside such stars as Melanie Griffith and Tom Berenger.
